A screen shot of Tata's InstaCompute cloud interface(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Indian Web hosting provider Tata Communications (www.tatacommunications.com) announced on Tuesday it has launched its InstaCompute cloud IaaS service in Singapore, which also includes Malaysia, Hong Kong, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam and the Philippines.
InstaCompute brings cloud computing services to the region's large and medium enterprises, the gaming industry, as well as global businesses with an Asia Pacific audience.The company's Dell-based computing and storage resources are delivered on demand to businesses over Tata Communications' IP backbone and MPLS networks.
Using an automated web interface, InstaCompute allows organizations to manage their businesses in line with market demands and evolving technology.
IThe Singapore zone is physically based in Tai Seng, Singapore at the Tata Communications Exchange Internet data center, which opened last September.
InstaCompute includes a service agreement that offers unlimited customer support, multiple IP addresses, load balancing and firewalls as well as credits in the event of any service down time.The pay-as-you-use service lets Asia Pacific businesses tap into global IT infrastructure via the Internet.
Tata Communications cloud services offer a free trial, as well as hybrid services for combining cloud services, traditional hosting and colocation services and direct connectivity.
It also features pre-and-post-paid billing options in Singapore Dollars, US Dollar and Euros, using credit cards or traditional invoicing, as well as web-based service access that allows administrators to set up individual users and use project structures to allocate user access and monitor spending.
Tata has signed Singapore-based web developer Magma Studios as one of the first customers of InstaCompute.
The launch of InstaCompute will be followed by launches in Europe, the US and South Africa by the end of the year, says the company.
