(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- UK Web hosting provider UK2 (www.uk2.net) announced on Monday it has launched a new cloud hosting platform.
The company says it has made many improvements and upgrades to the hosting packages across its product suite.As a result, UK2 is currently offering Cloud Sites from £23.95 per month, Reseller Cloud from £59.95 per month and VPS Cloud packages from £9.95 per month.
The UK2 cloud allows servers and hosting packages to offer full redundancy, so in the event that a customer's website or server fails or crashes it instantly moves to a new piece hardware and continues to run.
In the event of a sudden surge in traffic, customers will have the option to add RAM to their cloud to handle the larger load of work.
"We are constantly rolling out new and improved products to keep up with the demand of technology," says Martin Baker, managing director at UK2. "Cloud hosting is one of those advancements in technology that will change the way we look at hosting. In the last few months we have seen a culmination of hard work and innovation bring to life a faster, more efficient and powerful cloud hosting platform which we have now implemented with immediate effect and is available on our website."
The new cloud offerings sees UK2 combining its resources and experiences from other company's within its group, namely VPS.net and Onapp, to "build an advanced cloud," according to the press release.
