Web Host PEER 1 Sees 264 Percent Growth in UK Market Over Two Years

(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Web hosting provider PEER 1 Hosting (http://www.peer1.co.uk/) announced on Friday it has experienced 264 percent growth in revenue since it opened its European HQ offices in Southampton, UK in April 2009.

Revenues to the end of April 2011 are now at $10.5 million in just two years of business.

To accommodate this significant demand from customers, PEER 1 is currently building a new POD-designed data center in Portsmouth, which it announced in January.

The first of four PODs is set for completion this fall, with an initial cost of almost $16 million. once completed, the new data center will offer managed hosting, dedicated hosting and colocation services.
PEER 1's data center team said April 2011 was its busiest month yet, where more hosting solutions were sold than any previous month.

The complexity of orders has also increased with customers taking advantage of PEER 1's 10Gbps fiber network, increased demand for database cluster based solutions, global load balancing solutions and DDoS protection.
