SpamTitan Launches Private Cloud Virtual Anti-Spam Appliance

(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Anti-spam technology developer SpamTitan (http://www.spamtitan.com/) announced this week that it has launched its first cloud-based virtual appliance designed to provide security against spam and viruses from within private clouds.

The company, which has been delivering spam filtering with its SpamTitan virtual appliance, says the new SpamTitan On-Demand is the first anti-spam offering to give businesses their own private virtual appliances in the cloud.

According to SpamTitan, the offering is unique in that it is designed for businesses who consider multi-tenant hosted solutions to be potentially insecure, providing a single-tenant cloud-based appliance.

”The uptake of cloud computing is set to increase in 2011 with cost savings and flexibility being the key motivators,” said SpamTitan Technologies CEO Ronan Kavanagh, quoted in the press release. “Today’s announcement marks the next generation deployment phase for SpamTitan offering even more flexibility to our customers as well as increased efficiency, affordability and ease of use.”

The company is offering the on-demand solution as a free 30-day trial. Pricing starts at $650 per 50 users per year. More information on the SpamTitan On-Demand solution is available from the company’s website.

While the company doesn’t appear to have a reseller program designed explicitly around the hosting channel, it does suggest that the product is apt for consumption by ISPs, and its website has a sort of generalized call for partnering opportunities.

“SpamTitan has an extensive partnership network to facilitate both the technical development of our products and the continued growth of our sales channel,” says the comment on the company’s site. “We are always interested in speaking with companies who feel a partnership in either of these areas would be of mutual benefit.”
