(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- UK Web hosting provider Host1Plus (http://www.host1plus.com/) announced on Friday that it has expanded its operations to China with colocation in Singapore and a new Chinese version of its website.
This move comes two weeks after Host1Plus expanded into Germany with Frankfurt-based data center NewColo.
Its new website (cn.host1plus.com) is in Mandarin. It will provide 24/7 support to its customers in China.
“Host1Plus understands the importance of China to the Worldwide economy, therefore we have decided to open our subsidiary in Chinese market," Vincentas Grinius, Host1Plus co-founder and CEO said in a statement. "The huge population with the need of cheap and reliable local hosting service seemed to be a perfect market for us."
Host1Plus offers all main services for the Chinese market including VPS servers, cloud based hosting for small business and domain registration. The company says it plans to colocate in another data center in Hong Kong soon.
“We have been preparing to enter Chinese market for some time already. Finally we did it and are very glad even though [there are] lots of challenges are ahead," Grinius said. "As a company we are quite small, but have enough experience and potential to work in Chinese market. Our partnership with data center in Singapore and local payment method Alipay will allow us to provide the reliable and locally targeted services for Chinese companies and individuals.”
