These plans introduce greater scalability and reliability for IX Web Hosting by using a true cloud infrastructure.IX Web Hosting says it hopes the new cloud plans will help to significantly grow this sector of its business within the next six months.
The cloud plans have been designed for a number of different infrastructural environments and use-intents, but the same goals are met globally.

Instead of taking its current infrastructure and virtualizing it, IX purchased entirely new hardware optimized for virtualized environments which comprised of a multi-million dollar blade and SAN setup powered by Citrix.
Its lineup now includes two customizable cloud plans with features suitable for Small Businesses all the way up to enterprise level. Both plans are 100 percent scalable and include a user-friendly "slider" approach to all features.
IX's private cloud is designed for organizations that can benefit from both inter- and intranet cloud services, providing a development environment for an IT team on the cloud.
