Datapipe Named Netcraft's Most Reliable Hosting Site in June

A list of the most reliable web hosting company websites in June

(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Web analytics firm Netcraft (http://www.netcraft.com/) announced on Friday that Datapipe (http://www.datapipe.net/) is the most reliable hosting company site for June.

Datapipe earned the top spot in last month's Netcraft survey as well.

Also in May, Datapipe secured $176 million in combined equity and credit financing. In the same month, Datapipe converted its San Jose data center to renewable energy.

According to Netcraft, each of the top three hosting companies had only one failed request this month so they were ranked by average connection time instead.

Rounding out the top three was INetU in second place and New York Internet in third place.

INetU recently expanded internationally with a data center in Amsterdam. At the same time last year, INetU was ranked Netcraft's most reliable hosting site.

The rest of the top ten included Hosting 4 Less, Logicworks, www.micfo.com, ReliableServers.com, aruba.it, Kattare Internet Services and www.qubenet.net.

New York Internet, Qubenet and Kattare Internet Services were all in May's top ten as well.

According to the report, half of the top ten sites in June were running Linux, four were running FreeBSD and one was running Windows Server 2003.

Netcraft measures the response times of around forty leading hosting providers' sites. The measurements are made at fifteen minute intervals from separate points around the internet, Netcraft says.

Netcraft says that the percentage of failed requests is more relevant than outages for customers since it "gives a pointer to reliability of routing."
