Web Host Savvis Partners with Mobile Website Technology Provider SiteMinis

SiteMinis' website shows the various web-enabled phones its technology supports

(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Web hosting provider Savvis (http://www.savvis.com/) announced on Wednesday that it has partnered with mobile website technology provider SiteMinis (http://www.siteminis.com/) to provide hosting for SiteMinis customers and SiteMinis technology to Savvis customers.

This partnership comes nearly a month after Savvis launched the first phase of its Savvis Markets Infrastructure.

"SiteMinis has helped many companies extend their brand by taking their websites to all web-enabled mobile devices without a brand reduction," Marci Troutman, CEO and founder of SiteMinis said in a statement. "This partnership with Savvis allows us to offer a more comprehensive solution with mobile in the cloud; with the security of Savvis' hosting solutions."

SiteMinis enables visitors to purchase goods over their mobile phones so website owners don't lose control or profits to third parties, according to its website.

According to the press release, Savvis and SiteMinis will provide on-call support and a help desk for SiteMinis' clients leveraging the hosting solution.

"The Savvis and SiteMinis strategic partnership merges one of the leading mobile Web platforms with an industry-leading cloud platform to provide clients and their consumers with a secure cloud-based mobile experience," Kevin Conway, global director, consumer brands, at Savvis stated.
